Hello Girls...

I am leaving Wednesday and will be missing your practices and games for the next week. Ms. Walsh, Abbey, and Jamie will be there to support and coach you! Ms. Walsh and myself will be away for your game Thursday, so Mr. Colvin is taking you with the boys and the girls are coaching you on the bench.

We are pleased with the exhibition game! Some great things we saw...

1. great aggression

2.  man-to-man defense

3. throw-in lineup (we only need to do this if we are being pressured)

4. Great full court pressure

Some things we need to work on...

1. Make sure you CUT to the basket after you pass (this will help allow a shot from inside the key)

2. BOXING OUT! we did a few...but we need to do it every time.

3. Shooting from the outside (practice shots outside the key, and free throw area...jump shots)

4. Staying will you check..sometimes a few got away and were right under the basket. Make sure you are between your check and the basket.

5. We need to learn a 1-3-1 Offence, which help us beat a ZONE defense like the one we just faced.
